Patrick, John, Ann McSweeney immigrants from Cork
« on: Wednesday 18 June 14 12:53 BST (UK) »
Patrick (b. 1835) and Ann McSweeney (b. 1843) arrive in America in 1855.  John (b. 1842) follows before 1865.  They settle in Newark, NJ.  Patrick's marriage record says his parents are John McSweeney and Ann Scally.  My mother said they were from Cork.  They were Catholic.  Any help or advice in finding their family in Cork would be appreciated.

Is Ann Patrick's wife or sister?  I've done some research on McSweeney in NJ for my own family so I might have some information that could help you.

Looking at the original manifest, records 9 & 10 appear to be for a Patrick & Ann McQueeny, not McSweeney.
