« on: Sunday 29 June 14 16:53 BST (UK) »
Hi all,
I am looking for a baptism or parents of a certain

She later married a Thomas Lloyd and lived in Leintwardine

is this the marriage 24 sept 1844 in leintwardine, fathers name frances or francis bray,
registered Ludlow  vol18 page 99.
I am only seeing a Francis Bray in dilwyn Herefordshire, but this area can be a problem as it borders Hereford, Radnor and Ludlow.

I can see a marriage for a Francis Bray in Bleddfa Radnorshire  22 oct 1822, to a mary smith, not too far from presteigne.

could Elizabeth have been baptised as a Smith, I wonder

Hi Mazi,
yes thats the right marriage,
great, so father is Francis
Yes it seems the family lived either side of the border
And I am aware that this area is a pain to research
thats possible, but finding a baptism for an Elizabeth Smith may be quite tricky
When you say you have found Francis in Dilwyn, when was this?

https://familysearch.org/search/record/results?count=20&query=%2Bgivenname%3Afrancis~%20%2Bsurname%3Abray~

I think this is a female,  further down there is an emigration for a francis Bray in 1852 but just gives birth as England

edit the link does not work,  I searched familysearch for francis bray birth Hereford
1790-1830.

there are a few brays in Herefordshire.
I have not looked to see if Bleddfa was a church or just a chapelry, nor have I looked to see how many years have been transcribed.
