To Dermo
I found that'' Robert Caldel Christian died in 1896'' this is what i googled and it led me to a page of transcribed headstones.
I have found that with people of any eminence if you have their date of death you usually get a hit this way,is'nt Mr Google a wonderful thing.

You say Henry's son getting married in Jan 1932.
On the presumption that the 1911 census is him with a son Alfred do you know if he had any other sons as there are one or two Henry Doyle's born circa 1913 and a marriage in Jan March 1932 for a Henry Doyle.

I have no idea if he had other sons's or what happened him after 1911 census, but I do know in the Jan1932 letter my Great Grandmother referred to him "Henry was asking about you, he may call down to see you some day, his son is getting married this month". I was planning on sending a cert application to the Roscommon registry for any Groom with last name Doyle married in Dublin / Wicklow between Jan 13th  - Feb 13th 1932 with father of the Groom called Henry Doyle.

Try including 'Rathdown' registration district for a marriage near to Dublin.  Have you checked out the new online BMD records?  You might be able to follow the family into 1930's with voter's register, Thom's Directory even phone books in more modern times.

Hello,

Just an update on this I finally found that Maria Doyle was buried in Kilmacanogue cemetery in Wicklow - I found the obituary notice in the irish newspaper archives for 1937 - she died at 22 Charlemont Place. I also found a record for Henry Doyle in the prison archives - his wife was Alice O'Connor and she served 7 days in Mountjoy for Drunkeness in November 1916 - her next of kin was listed as Henry Doyle her husband and residence was Rathmines, I know Henry was still alive in 1932 from a family letter, but no other ideas of how to trace him or find where he is buried?
