One I found last week
http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article149180087A LAD'S DEATH.
Some gruesome particulars were com-
municated to-day to the City Coroner
when he held an inquest on the body of
the poor lad Daniel O'Sullivan, who was
killed at Moore's timber yards on Tues-
day.. It may be remembered that he
climbed to an overhead beam to adjust
a belt on a moving wheel, and must have
slipped, as when next seen was being
whirled round and round the wheel.
To-day it was stated that every revo-
lution he was dashed against some
planking, and not only were both legs
and arms torn off, but portions of his
body were thrown over 40ft. away.
Sullivan's mother said the lad was
not subject to fits, and was in good
health and spirits when he left home in
the morning for his work. The Coroner
found that death was due to injuries sus-
tained by deceased being caught in the
belting and held, and that no blame at
tached to anyone.
