Hi

No ages given on marriage record, can see son John James and wife Ann in 1841 census.

The other John James is definitely aged 65 a blacksmith, wife Ann (or partner) aged 45. On the 1851 census, his age is transcribed as 49, but there is a black line running through it. Comparing other numerals on the page I think his age is 79, wife Ann 6? and son Edward 20.

1851 Census Ref : Class HO107, Piece 2016,  Folio 154,  Page 8.

Hi

Found more children to this couple, all christened in Church Eaton from c1820 onwards. So think they can be ruled out.

Back to the drawing board  ???

I think John James jnr was a Ag Labourer, so that will be John James snr as a Blacksmith.
They certainly are making life hard with both being John and married to a Anne :-\

John James, 60, ag lab, born in county
Elizabeth James, 60, born in county.

Most interesting.  I know many of the family worked at Bostock Shoes, but not too certain about this side of the family. JAMES
St Mary does play a big part also.  My ggg grand mother Elizabeth James married at St Mary in 1801 to a cordwainer Thomas Shocklidge.
So I wonder if her brother John James did work at Bostock as well?  Will make total sense to me
