My reply at #14 is a link to google maps. I just clicked on it and it opened fine.  :-\ Delalie is just to the left of the words Croftangry Wood - at the end of the long track surrounded by dry looking fields - you will see a green area at the end of the track. That is Delalie.

Delalie Fettercairn AB30 .Strutt and Parker are currently selling this property which is a traditional small farnhouse cottage of the type built in North EasrtScotland from 1850 onwards. There would most likely have been an older settlement here.

That makes sense.

There is at least one building which is roofless and possibly in ruins so perhaps that was the old farmhouse. Or maybe a new house was built, possibly materials from the old farmhouse.

Ev,

I managed to get the link to open on both threads. I use a dongle & if signal isn't good or too many things open, it cuts out all the time.

Thanks for your help  :)

Hi

A Google book "A General View of Kincardineshire or The Mearns" by George Robertson gives a lovely flavour of the area and an idea of locations.  You can read it online and search for Dallidies or Balnakettle.
