Llansilin, baptism of Mary Ann HUGHES
« on: Wednesday 23 July 14 12:35 BST (UK) »
Of six children this the second child and the only one I can't find the baptism record for. I have her birth certificate but would like that last baptism record to complete the set. This is right in the corner of Denbighshire literally a two minutes walk from either Montgomeryshire or Shropshire.

On 27th May 1883 Mary Ann was born to John Hughes, Wheelwright, and Elizabeth Ann Hughes, formerly Hayes, both of Penybont, in the parish of Llansilin - though local church Llangedwyn.

The detail:
First child John Edward Hughes was baptised in the parish of Llanfechain, Montgomeryshire on 19th  March 1882.
On 27th May 1883, based on Mary Ann's birth certificate, the family had moved across the border into the parish of Denbighshire where Mary Ann was born to John Hughes, Wheelwright and Elizabeth Ann Hughes, formerly Hayes, both of Penybont, Llansilin but nearer Llangedwyn
On 27th December 1884 first child John Edward died and was buried in Llangedwyn.
On 16th March 1885, just fourteen weeks later, their mother Elizabeth Ann age 26 also died and was buried in Llangedwyn.
