Trying to pinpoint Cwmyglo in the 1871 census, but can't find it. Where shall I look? Seeking a 'Miss Maggie Jones'
Roberts, Caernarfon. Thomas, Caernarfon. Kite, Kent.

Hi - I see Cwm y Glo is described as approx 4 miles east of Caernarfon, but you probably already know that. Afraid I don't have access to census, but Llanberis is described as roughly five miles
east of Caernarfon, if that any help.
Best wishes
Everlea.

I think that Cym y Glo is in the Parish of Llanrug.   I can see several Margaret Jones in the village, but no Maggie Jones. When was yours born?

Kay

Edit- Searching in 1871 on Owen Jones b 1827 Llandeiniolen, Caernarfonshire should bring you to the village(next page) - He also had a nine year old daughter Margaret

It is in Llanrug, part in District 7, part in District 8.
