Looking information on my Grandfather Thomas Martin O'Shaughnessy R.I.C. born County Limerick.
His R.I.C. serial number was 47944 joined 18th October 1881 age 20. Which makes his date of birth 1860. His father name was Thomas O'Shaughnessy and he was married to Ellen O'Connell date of marriage unknown and date of births unknown.
My grandfather Thomas Martin O'Shaughnessy married twice the first was to Caroline Smyth of Donaghadee 16/11/1888 at Ards registrars office. Caroline date of birth was 28/11/1870. Her father name was John Smyth a commerical traveller. What happen to Caroline Smyth O'Shaughnessy is unknown. Did she died? where they divorce ?
My grandfather Thomas Martin O'Shaughnessy married again  on 18/07/1897 to Catherine Loughrey of 67 Divis Street Belfast.
They had seven children ,Marion,Thomas jnr,Evelyn,Amelia,John Joseph,Gerald,Henry all born in Belfast. Any information on any one that i have mention would be grateful.

A Caroline St Clair O'Shaughnessy died in 1889, Lisburn, at the age of 19.
