Townland near Limavady

I am interested in a William Douglas, shoemaker, s/o Wm Douglas, Labourer, who married in Limavady 2nd Presbyterian church in 1878. His address on the marriage cert was ROCPARK. I can’t find a townland of that (or similar) name anywhere in Co Derry. Does anyone recognise it, and advise me where it is/was? The bride's address is just Limavady.

        I think that this was ROEPARK which was a large estate on the west bank of the River Roe just outside Limavady. It is now a Radison Hotel and golf resort and covers the townlands of Shranreagh and Mullagh. It contains Mullagh Hill where St. Columba is reputed to have chaired a conference of Ulster kings.

    A bit of the history of the estate. Roepark, at the time called Mullagh, was purchased and the estate built up by Capt. Richard Babington in the early 1700s. It was purchased by Marcus Mccausland in 1743 and renamed Daisy Hill. John Cromie of Portstewart bought the estate in 1817 and renamed it Roe Park. it was then owned successively by McNaughtons, Rennies and Nicholsons until sold in 1872 to the S.M. Alexander from whom it went to the Ritters. In my boyhood in the 1950s it was an old peoples home and known locally as Roepark and eventually became a hotel.

I am sure you are right. Roepark will be the answer. I have now traced the family to a townland there in the revision records. Fits perfectly.
