Maiden name of Mary Jane, wife of Thomas Steele 1862

Coming to the end of my research on the Steele family and it wouldn't have been possible for everyone's assistance on this site

This is Thomas Steele and his family in 1911 in Great Clifton

According to the census, Thomas and Mary Jane married in 1889, however checking the bmd, I cannot find a compatible marriage

What was the maiden name of Mary Jane?

A possibility of knowing would be to purchase the certificate of their daughter, but I do not want to fork out the expense when I have 6 other certificates I need to purchase that take priority

I see Mary Jane is listed as born in Monkwearmouth, Durham in the 1891 census.   I wonder whether this marriage is a possible

Mary Jane gives her place of birth as Monkwearmouth in 1891 and 1901.

Thomas Steele, father John, and Mary Jane Stabler, father Christopher.

Thomas appears to be the son of John and Hannah Steel, from 1881 census in Great Clifton.

That would mean Mary Jane Stabler is the correct wife, because John and Hannah are Thomas's parents
