Bampton marriage records
« on: Sunday 24 August 14 17:21 BST (UK) »
I'm looking for the marriage between Anthony Langhorn(e) and Betty/Elizabeth Wilkinson. Their first child seems to have been born in 1780. Some of the children were christened in Bampton, and I think Anthony was born there (there's a record of a baptism of an Anthony Langhorne in 1757). I'd be grateful for any help with this.
Brien; Young (Gloucestershire and Manchester); Gleave; Wilson (Lincolnshire and Manchester); Brandish; Buxton; Govier; Hilton (Lancashire); Gerrard; Bishop (Gloucestershire).

Hello
A marriage licence was issued on 01 April 1777:
Anthony Langhorn, parish Barmpton, a minor, age 19
Betty Wilkinson, Whale Moor, parish Lowther, age 20
bondsmen:
Edmund Langhorn, parish Bampton, yeoman
Richard Langhorn, ditto, yeoman
EL is Anthony's father and consents
Marriage to take place at Lowther

That's a pretty amazing entry!
regards
Deborah
