Where to find an original copy of this will and admon?
« on: Wednesday 27 August 14 12:17 BST (UK) »
Apologies if this is not the correct forum, but I have bought a will of an Edward Giles Jones, 1823, Gentleman of Canterbury Place, London, which refers to an admon granted in 1827 when the will was proved - does anybody know where about this document can be found?

I can see he was buried at St Mary's Lambeth 16 Apr 1823 age 44

I would start by enquiring here

If you have access to Ancestry uk, its in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury Collection.

You can find it by putting in the probate date 10 Oct 1827
Residence; Birmingham Warwickshire

Thanks for your reply!  I have purchased that will from the NA which is a transcription of the original without the admon. I will try the other things you suggest though and see if I can get hold of the original!
