Margaret Anderson

Thank you Bevj - I have had no luck finding any birth record for Margaret Anderson using her mother's name, Margaret Wilson, other than the one for 1805 in Edinburgh, which is not the correct one for the Margaret Anderson married to Robert Duffus in 1823.
I did find there was a record of a William Anderson, saddler in Haddington in the 1760s:
Did not find a birth or marriage certificate for him, or his wife, Ann(e) Galloway, but did find two birth certificates for children relating to this couple:
James Anderson, baptism: Aug 2 1764. Father: William Anderson, saddler. Mother Ann Galloway. Witnessed: Simon Sawers & William Lindsay.
Robert Anderson,  birth 3 Aug 1766, baptism, 14 Aug 1766 in Haddington, East Lothian.

Perhaps William Anderson, (sp of Ann Galloway),  fathered a child with a Margaret Wilson in Haddington?
