Bogland or Bigland, *COMPLETED*
« on: Friday 29 August 14 16:24 BST (UK) »
I'm looking for suggestions as to a possible location.

Written as "Bogland" or possibly "Bigland", Monmouthshire in a census entry for place of birth - does this sound like another location in the county?

Thanks
Paul

It could possibly be Raglan.  None listed on the above index that would fit Bigland etc. Do you have him on any other census to compare POB? or looked for a bapt.

Thanks.

No, he's a bit of a mystery man, he only appears in the 1861 census.

I was wondering if it was a bad version of Baglan - but I know that's some way to the west.
