Thomas Henry RILEY's army record is available online on a paid site
He enlisted in 1896 aged 18 and stated he was Church of England
from St. Augustine's Parish, Lancs.
His elder brother James was then his next of kin
He married Florence Gertrude BOX on April 13 1903 in Colchester
This is re-recorded as February 13th 1905 in Naas (the district for the Curragh Camp)
This was done most likely if the original marriage had occurred without permission or the record could not be located
He is listed as having had four children
1
Ella Alberta May RILEY b. Jul 29 1904 bap. Aug 21 1904 The Curragh
* Ella is listed on the 1911 Census with her Grandparents John and Emily BOX in Ipswich
2
Sidney Thomas RILEY b. Nov 16 1905 bap. Dec 10 1905 The Curragh
3 Eileen Emily Elizabeth b. Jul 09 1907 bap. Aug 25 1907
* Army record states she was born and baptised in Dublin but she is on 1911 as born in UK
However, there is a matching Civil UK Record in Ipswich, Suffolk Q3 Vol 4a Pg 1007
4 Eric James b. Jul 05 1911 bap. Sept 03 1911 Devonport
Ella and Sidney were baptised by a person named Smithwick
Ella's looks as if the initials are FF
but Sidney's looks more like TSS
edited to add:Link to 1901 Census of those named Smithwick in KildareThere is a CoI clergyman and his son (a Divinity Student) that matches the initials given
implying the baptisms were CoI
The son Frederick is listed in 1911 as attached to HM Forces as a CoI clergyman
There has always been a church attached to the Curragh Camp which is still in use by the Irish Defence Forces
