Twizel Mill
« on: Saturday 13 September 14 23:18 BST (UK) »
Hi, I found out that one of my ancestors was born at Twizel Mill, however, his family didn't work in the mill. While living there, his father worked as Forrester/ Agricultural Labourer/ Gamekeeper - that I know of. I was wondering if anyone had information about the mill or surrounding areas during the mid-1800's? Any help would be greatly appreciated  :)

Another Davison (also of Mickley, Northumberland)
In Horton, Northumberland: Davison, Beecroft (previously from Houghton-le-Spring).
In Sunderland, Durham: Hunter, Watson (also of Wallsend, Northumberland; Blackhill, Durham)

Twizel Mill may be the one near Warenford, Northumberland. It is west of Twizel House which is adjacent the A1.

Hi, I hadn't thought about him being employed at Twizel House or Tilmouth Park. Thank you so much for your help  :)
