Markfield 1700s - Ward
« on: Sunday 14 September 14 17:17 BST (UK) »
Hi
How do I find out what churches existed in Markfield circa 1700. Whilst researching my family tree I came across a christening of John Ward in 1733 in Markfield. He then married an Ann (?) and one of  their children Sarah was also christened in Markfield in 1757. I can, so far,  find no marriage of John to Ann in Leicestershire.

Any help is gratefully received. Thanks.

Have a Markfield listing, there are marriages for a John Ward

30 Oct 1750 marriage to Ann Andrew
14 Jul 1755 marriage to Ann Bennett

I think it might be St Michaels and all Angels, but someone may now more about the histroy of the village than I do.
