George was divorced.

The informant on the death certificate was Deborah K Dufresne. Deborah was the daughter of Phoenicia and George J Weeks. At the time of George's death Deborah lived at 100 Mt View Dr. Bennington. VT. 05201
 
Deborah K Weeks/Dufresne born Aug. 28, 1963 Portsmouth Portsmouth City Virginia.
Death:  June 30, 2005 Bennington Bennington County Vermont.
Councellor - Vocational Rehab Dept.  She was widowed. Death classed as an accident - combination intoxication and drugs.

The couple were married 11 August 1984 - The obituary for Richard Dufresne in the Rutland Herald mentions a surviving son. If you check sites like whitepages usa, switchboard.com
