I am not certain about what access is available for the records of marriages in new Zealand in late 1800s/ I am seeking the marriage cert of a rose mc gonigle/mcgonagle born around 1857 (Ireland). She emigrated to new Zealand in 1867 in the company of her father Daniel, mother Mary and other siblings. She got married to someone with the surname Buttola around 1885/95. We believe that they may have resided in Christchurch area. Thanks for any leads

For some reason this marriage doesn't come up even with spelling variations. The indexes are also available on microfiche and there the marriage does come up:

You can also search the online indexes for births, I found two from a quick search:

1877/12730 BUTTOLA, Pietro Antonio, M=Rose, F=Pietro
1892/7305 BUTTOLA, Rose Kate. M=Rosa, F=Peter

I can search the electoral rolls for you later although it's likely someone else will jump in and help

There are 2 children on BDM's but considering the huge gap in dates there may be more with different spellings

[Lewisham Private Hospital is in Christchurch, so Rose needed to travel to have her surgery, probably surgeon wasn't available on the Coast at the time.]
