« on: Sunday 21 September 14 15:00 BST (UK) »
hi, I'm trying to trace my grandfathers family, his name was Harold (HARRY) Cosby, he was born around 1932 in the donegall road area, he died in 2000 aged 68, I have just recently found out he was adopted so this is a tricky one,, any help would be appreciated..
thanks

You've posted in ARMAGH but do you mean Donegall Road, Belfast? (Belfast posts belong on ANTRIM board but a moderator can easily move this thread if it's Belfast).

Unfortunately the birth is too recent for online indexes (many people born in 1932 are still alive and GRONI is using a 1913 cut off date for the online birth index although the civil registration index at www.familysearch.org goes up to 1921 for Northern Ireland counties).

Is the surname Cosgy (as in your post) or Causby (as in the title)? If he was adopted then there won't be online resources to check. GRONI have a section about requesting adoption details here

I see a Harold Causby died 2000 buried in Roselawn Cemetery (along with 2 others with same surname) but the information there won'd help trace his family. There are, however, other Causbys in the same database.
