William Watkins, burial 1883 Merthyr Tydfil
« on: Thursday 25 September 14 14:25 BST (UK) »
Hello

I was wondering if someone could please help find a burial register, obituary or location for William Watkins. He died in 1883 in Merthyr Tydfil. He was a tanner and a widower to Ann Abraham.

His children were Lucy Watkins, born 1828, Catherine, born 1823 and William, born 1835. He and his children were all born in Neath

my thanks

Have you contacted Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council :

Burial Records

All burial records for MTCBC cemeteries are held in the Bereavement Services Office in the Civic Centre. The oldest records go back to the mid 1800’s.

Details available from the registers are as follows:
Name of the person buried  - Age  - Profession  - Address  - Place where death occurred
Date of Burial

That's a shame...

Death Certs that I've ordered vary greatly as to how useful they are. The 'Informant' section can help, as it is usually (not always) a family member. Also the place of death can help to place someone. I've also had some that say, 'Causing the body to be buried'; which indicates that a burial took place.
