Looked at Joseph's service record and wondering if Rodaway is correct for Katie's surname. I know the script is a little unclear but I don't see the ending "way". Looks more like Rodauna or auma to me- cannot see a final  y.

hi Annclare,  I have seen lots of ways of writing and spelling,s for RODAWAY,   and to be honest its clear enough for me, having said that nothing is for certain when looking at old records,  just looks like they left themselves with no room to get the y in
thanks for your time and input, Tony

Rodaway as a surname doesn't seem to appear in the Irish civil registration index so my 1st question is to ask if you's found any other mention of Katie's surname in any other records?

Can you post the snippet with Katie's name if it's a handwritten record that you've seen?

Do you have a record showing Katie's full name?

problem is Katie could have married anywhere  ???
I am certain its Rodaway, but unable to find anything  on ancestry I dont have a world subscription,
this record matches the 1901 census, and links the 2 records , its from ww1 army pension records, for joseph Hickey, and dated on his discharge 1915,
Tullamore Urban, King's Co. Ireland was a military town,

Thanks for posting that bit showing the writing- I am now even more convinced that Katie's surname is NOT Rodaway. If you look at the end of the surname what you are seeing as 'y' is actually a '+'- see the same mark before Daniel's name on the line below.

Looking carefully at the snippet it looks as though it says Katie Rosanna + Mary.

In which case Rosanna is with the family in 1901- listed between Katie & Mary:
www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/King_s_Co_/Tullamore_Urban/Brewery_Lane/1471761
Transcribed as R Arthur but original says R.Anne (with a bit of earlier writing under last part making it difficult to read):

Agree with Aghadowey - also searched ancestry and did not find any possible for a Katie Katherine etc. Rodaway.

Aghadowey - Interested in what marriage details you found - I'm wondering about a Mary Kate Hickey m, 1901 in Tullamore reg. district - possible spouse John Cronly and a possible match in the 1911 Census.
