Yes, there's an Edmond Nugent with wife Margaret in 1901 and 1911 but I posted a link to the gravestone information for this family. Their son John "Jack" Nugent was born 1893, married a woman called Mary Ann then died in 1964 which is completely different from the details for your John Nugent.

Best to wait for the marriage certificate to see John Nugent's residence, father's name & occupation, names of witnesses, etc.

Yes I think so to always waiting waiting!. The John (Jack) Nugent you mention is most likely a cousin.
Our John (AlPhonsus) AKA Johnny Nugent was born in 1885 but not registered till 1886.
We know he married Bridget Laughnane, I have found the birth dates of all their children, I had meet at least 4 of them so I know I have the right John Nugent.

If you know that John Nugent was born in 1885 and birth registrered in 1886 then why don't you have the birth certificate which would list names of both parents?

I have received John Nugent and Bridget Laughane's marriage cert, which states that the father of John was a Martin not Edmond as originally stated! They mixed up the birth cert of John with another John Nugent properly a cousin, so still waiting for the correct John Nugent's birth cert... slow process
