Eileen m & John Obrian robinson baptism records
« on: Thursday 09 October 14 00:54 BST (UK) »
Hi I am looking for baptism records for the following

Eileen m robinson born 1933
John obrian robinson born 1935

both were born in kendal (unsure why but I know there was a home for un married mothers), but could have been baptised in temple sowerby, bolton appleby or windermere areas.  I'm expecting their fathers will not be named

Help would be appreciated

FreeBMD is showing these births, both with a mother's maiden name of Robinson.

BUT there are a few marriages between a Robinson and a Robinson in Westmorland!!

The birth certificates would show any father's name.

That's right the mother was unwed when these 2 were born

I have ordered copies of the birth certificates there on the way just wondered if baptism records might give me any clues as to what the mother was doing at the time and where she was and who with

The baptism records MAY state who the father was, but in all likelihood there won't be a father's name? ::)

The birth certificates will give you an address, but maybe mother's occupation (if she had one?).
