Family Research
« on: Monday 13 October 14 04:57 BST (UK) »
I am seeking information regarding my 2nd G/Grandmother who I believe was born in County Wicklow in 1839 and her parents may have been Michael Summers and Elizabeth Unknown. She would have left Ireland before 1858 as that is when she was married in Australia.

the genuki link may give you an insight of genealogical material for Wicklow>

http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/irl/WIC/

best to do some databasing from family search . org on surnames within the tree ...also check Sumners as well as Summers and Sumers, Somers etc etc.....    going to have to do some leg work on that one...

someone might be able to find some probates on that family surname for that county........ the land valuations may be of some use in determinations of actual townland to zero in on churches used... you may also have to write to the Diocese church heads to get extractions........

good luck with that......  some of the rootschatters specialising in this area may have other info...  I would actually put up a better construct post with more details of material you have proven already regarding this branch as I found the post a little vague.....

I would also be looking at passenger records of her arrival in Australia, and her death certificate references to determine her actual age as it may important to this research....
