Emma Thraves

Hi everyone,

I wonder if anyone can help?  I have Emma Traves born 1841 in Nottingham, she married Charles William Button in 1865.  I would like to find out her parents if possible, I've found her in 1851 with her mother Maria Thraves born Nottingham abt 1803, she is listed as widow.

I can't find anything on familysearch, can anyone help?

On FreeREG there is a baptism of Grace Thraves (sister of Emma) at Parish of St Mary, Nottingham.

Date 09/12/1832 parents ROBERT Thraves & MARIA.
Abode Beck Street
Father's Occupation: Butcher

I think Butcher may be an error. There are also baptism's for Eliza, Maria and Ann, with the father's occupation shown as Brewer. The earliest child shown is Ann who was baptised 10th Aug 1828.

This is indeed the information I was hoping for, by the way Maria is living in the same house/next door to a John Hawley in 1841 now that all makes sense.

If it is the correct Robert Thraves , he was buried in 1835, before Emma was born

Hmmm - didn't spot that one straight away, oh well she's not the first in my tree and probably won't be the last, it's just disappointing that we come to a dead end.

Thanks for the info anyway, it's great to be in possession of all the facts, whether pleasing or not!
