Shannon Family - Carfin
« on: Thursday 16 October 14 04:05 BST (UK) »
Hello everyone  ;D

I am new to this website and I am looking for any information on Agnes Shannon. All I have is her birth which is 21st November 1901 in Carfin to Edward Shannon and Agnes Rae.

Any information would be most appreciated.

Hello CJ
using www.scotlandspeople.gov website index, states marriage for her parents in Lanarkshire 1897, and a death for Agnes in Motherwell in 1974.
hope this helps?
Cheers

Thank you very much for your assistance lud and ev. I appreciate it. I now need to find out where she's been after September 1919.

Hi, I’m new to this site but have been looking for some living relatives. I see you have been doing research on Agnes shannon and Joseph Jordan.

Looking around ancestry it is confusing how many children they had . I have a birth certificate for Catherine shannon jordan but have found family trees relating to another child called Joseph . Do you have information on the children?

Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Any indication that this Shannon family has connections with the Plantation to Northern Ireland?

Cheers
