1857 Wedding Thomas Williams/Mary Harries
« on: Friday 24 October 14 14:42 BST (UK) »
Hi
Above wedding recorded in Swansea Registration District Q4. Church wedding in Swansea, probably St. Mary's.
Thomas a sailor/mariner, no further info. Mary daughter of Thomas Harries of St David's, Pembrokeshire. Wanted , any further info on the couple and their fathers, plus name of witnesses. Would be grateful if someone who has access to the Parish Registers could help.
Information is wanted in connection with a project by a small group of volunteers, unfunded, re Porthmadog sailors and their families, especially those killed during WW1. Information will be passed on to Porthmadog Maritime Museum and to the organiser of the Welsh Mariners Database.
Emyr

Hi
Oops - Thanks.
Yes - name is Ann. Mary is her sister - got mixed up. Both ended up living in Borthygest near Porthmadog.

Hi
Found that info is available on Find my Past. I don't have a subscription, but can access it at my local library this afternoon.
