Err....FindMyPast has BMD records with images for St Helena.  I don't have time to check the dates but 1821 should be well within scope.

They are under British India Office Births & Baptisms

Hi, I am doing research for a friend of mine whose wife is descended from what looks like the same man. James McGregor (who married Margaret Buchan). Did you ever find out any more about his parentage?
