Davies family - Buckley flintshire
« on: Monday 27 October 14 19:17 GMT (UK) »
Hello, My first post here but I have come to a brick wall situation. Hope someone has some heads up.

My GG grandfather puts Buckley Flintshire as his birthplace throughout his life. He was born around 1811 /1814 according to the census, marriage records. I know that Buckley was a small place in Flintshire and maybe did nt have its own church, so I m not sure where to look.

His name.....Robert DAVIES sometimes spelt DAVIS, by the enumerators.Though he could not write himself. He was a blacksmith, and I wonder if his father was too? He married in Shropshire, but definitely born in Buckley. Any clues to where to look for records, details of Blacksmiths, would be so welcome,
