surname Bake

Would someone be able to tell me anything about Walter Hugh Bake born Scotland c.1858.  The 1871 census lists Walter Bake aged 13 in Old Machar district.  I believe his parents were Walter Hugh and Christina, and he married Mary Hannah (?) with a son (Francis Walter Henry) an infant in 1884 when they arrived in Australia.  Thank you

The surname Bake seems to be rare in Scotland , apart from the 1871 Census result you have I have not found anything else.

So appreciate the great assistance.  I am wondering if Walter's father was may be a soldier (and had an affair with Christian) if there is no mention of Bake in Scotland.  I will search UK freebdm a bit further.  Walter called a daughter Christina, and another Augusta, which tie in with family names.   Thank you all.

You should be able to view the birth certificate on scotlandspeople. There may be information about his father.
