Hi Genni

Regarding your query as to what happened to Leonard & Harriet Smith & children after your last sighting of them residing at Newport in 1881.

I came across a couple of records on family search which may be a possibilty.

The immigration year on the 1910 cenus is given as 1882 and the ages of  both Joseph & Leonard are right.

Also Albert's mother's name on his marriage is given as Harriet Foster and his age matches up with his birth year on the 1881 census.

Hi

Thank you Trish18 =, that certainly looks like them in the US.

Yes Mabel Bagahawe she was christened Sarah Ann but I think it's her and she just took on the middle name Jane.  I was hoping the marriage certificate would help but of course it didn't.

Sarah is not with the rest of Forster family in 1851. My Sarah Jane is in a Wolverhampton Workhouse having just given birth to Harriet.

Thanks for finding the information on John jnr.  I will check that out.

cheers

Genni
