That would explain it. It was Sunday 22nd March 1953. Very sad really she appears to have drowned having fallen into the Grand canal that runs along the front of Charlemont Place

Yes they were Gardeners at Powerscourt, the father Christopher was laid off in the late 1890's and they moved to Dublin city for work

I have now obtained Mary Doyle's death cert, she died a spinster on March 22, 1953 from Drowning and her address was 22 Charlemont Place, this was also the address of her mother on a letter 20 years before and I believe Mary was living with her mother also in 1932. So I am pretty certain that when Mary died in 1953 she was buried with her parents.
So I have her date of death 22 March 1953, I have her address at time of death 22 Charlemont Place and I know that the parish of her address was St Peter's Civil Parish, Dublin.
Can anyone suggest a list of nearby Catholic churches in this parish I can call to find where she is buried?

Strange 22 Charlemont Place only appears once on Register of Electors in 1954/55 where Michael O'Mahony is listed as voter, wonder could it be on a corner and perhaps be listed under another street.
was there an informant on death cert.
