I believe this Albert is my Grandfather, who immigrated to US in 1916.

Think this Albert Clarke you were looking for died in the first world war 25 September 1916 he was in the Kings Shropshire Light Infantry ...Do you know his parents names ?

Could you tell us who he married and where he was living in the U S also his occupation in the U S and if you have his birth date ...The more information you give will be helpful to find his parents

 There's  another  Albert  Clarke  born  Madeley   on  1891  ,   so  this  may  be the  one   who  died  ,   there's  a war  record that gives  Madeley  as his POB ,

(also thanks for the restriction info on the 1911 census....I wasn't sure about that but posted question anyway - thought maybe someone could have access to film)
Albert came to US in 1916 and settled in New York. Married Harriett Erdmann in 1918. Had my dad, Albert Clarke in 1919. Albert Sr. died in the 1950s here in NY.

A tree has the Albert that I mentioned in the first post as the son of Samuel Clarke and Mary Garbett who died 1916 ..
There is another Albert Clarke born Jul-Sept 1888 Madeley he is in the 1891 census with father Joseph Clarke 35 mother Annie Clarke 35
