Margaret Robb b 1819 Deskford age 62
Mary Robb b 1857 Fordyce general domestic

1891 census John Duncan b 1874 Forres age 18 bakery apprentice living 63 High Street Forres
James Robb age wrong 35 grandfather grocer
Jane Ann Robb b 1838 forres wife ( looks like he has married again )

1901 census John Duncan b 1874 Forres age 27 bakery manager living 578,Dobbies Loan Glasgow
Ellen W Duncan b 1883 Forres age 18 dressmaker says sister ..
The best thing now would be to search www.scotlandspeople.gov for marriage or death for John

Regarding Mary Robb and Alexander Duncan, they may not have been married. Can't see a marriage for them or futher children to them. Rosie has listed the family in 1881 and there looks to be just John with mum and maternal grandparents.

His original birth reg would give you the marital status of parents, ie. married not married. You might also get an occupation for father Alexander Duncan, if you want to research him further. If parents not married, Alexander Duncan must have attended the birth registration of son John to enable his name to show on the register and son John to be named Duncan.

Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.
