Letitia Macdonald - Toronto

Hi,

Looking for the death of Letitia (nee McIlroy) MacDonald born 29 August 1877 in  Carrickaderry Monaghan and immigrated 1907 with husband William Robert Macdonald.

William Robert Macdonald died 3 July 1931 York Ontario.  Address :- 95 Vanauley Street. Toronto.
(Wonder if the Run Kitty magic could find an obituary for William    )

The couple appear to have 2 children on the 1921 census -

William Macdonald  43 and Letitia Macdonald  36
Harold Macdonald  12 Born 24 September 1908 York Ontario
Mabel Macdonald  3 Born 1918 Ontario.

Harold married Aileen Mary Moore 9 June 1928 York Ontario - would be grateful for any information on this couple.

Hi,

William Robert MacDonald's obituary is in the Toronto Star on July 4, 1931, page 26.  It says he died on July 3rd at his late residence, 95 Vanauley Street, Toronto.  He was 52.  Husband of Letitia MacDonald.  Funeral from above address on Monday - burial at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. 

No other family members are mentioned

Information about the cemetery plot.  Looks like Letitia is the owner - she is probably buried in this plot too.

Not seeing her obit yet... but still looking. 

GRRR...  no luck.   Perhaps the cemetery could give you a date of death.

Many thanks RK - much appreciated.    Thought about an e-mail to the cemetery but trying this route first to see what developed on the two children.   The son Harold would have been married by the time his father died but at the moment he has disappeared.  Possibly went to the USA,  that's where Aileen originated but so far no positive trace.
