The nearest I can find for a Smith family as Louisa could be in service or with a relative in 1851 census.

HO107/2339/222 Blue Boy Yd. Allen St ? Sheffield

Jonathan Smith 39 Scissor smith born Plimouth (Plymouth?)
Jane 37
Elizabeth 19 at home from Service
George 17 Scissor smith
Richard Rapjohn wid 60 Mould cutter Plimouth
Eliza Atkins visitor 6 Sheffield

In 1861 census Louisa had an Elizabeth Smith  sister with her 29 former servant?

Yes I've been struggling with Louisa too.  The one that fits with sister Elizabeth has father George as Stainforth says but the marriage has father John.

I guess she could be out on her own in service in 1841 too, they did go off young  :(

Hello and thank you so much for your replies. Im struggling with the names of the witnesses but I believe they are Thomas James Leslie and Elizabeth Smith. Neither of the fathers are listed as deceased.
I suppose that could be the correct family for Louisa and she could have either been in service or staying with relatives on the 1841 census. Will do a bit more diggging   :D

Hi, are you still chasing William Colley b1832?
He is my gggrandfather through his daughter Annie Eliza Colley.
I have been trying to pin him down for a while. I have him in 1871, 81, 01 and 1911 census returns and buried in 1915

Quote from Sheffield grave indexes
(Labourer, age 82). Died at Sheffield Union; Buried on March 5, 1915 in General ground;          Grave Number 81, Section C3 of Burngreave Cemetery, Sheffield.

In 1901 and 1911 he is with daughter Florence Wainwright.

Louisa's father is Geo. Smith.

Best wishes
Jane

But looking again at Louisa parents.
I see William married Jane Woolley it seems in 1886

Thanks

Looking at 1851 census, Geo Smith, wife and 'Theresa' actually Luesa, are living on Chapel St, which is address given by Louisa on her marriage certificate. So I still think Geo is her father.

Hello Jane, I am also descended through Annie Eliza. Her son Francis Harry was my grandmas father and died quite young during the Second World War I believe. Which of Annie Eliza's children are you descended from?
I have all my certificates in a file gathering dust somewhere so I will have to dig them out and revisit this line

Hello,
Harold was my grandfather, with his eldest son being my dad, George Wilkinson.
I understood that Ernest and Benjamin died in WW1, but that Harry (Francis?) survived. Is that incorrect? Harold was younger and he was in Tank corps in training when the war finished.
Some years ago I met one of Harry's daughters but I can't remember her name - it was in Crosspool area of Sheffield.
