Charles Humphreys b staffs 1830/1 M Hannah Williams b staffs

Does your family tree include my GGGD and GGGM? From Church Aston, near Shrewsbury.
He was a copper and left the Shrewsbury area  bound for Panteg in Monmouthshire sometime in the mid 1850's.
Their kids   were....Thomas1854/Martha1857/Frances1860/John1863/Charles1865/Mary1867/Arthur1870/  William1871/Lewis1873/Alfred1876. No TV to while the hours away when not on the beat!!!
Thomas was born in Staffs but the rest in Monmouthshire Wales.

No I dont. So far all I have done is just trace my direct roots. My GGD left wales bound for South Africa and then settled in Plymouth for a while b4 returning to Panteg.

Hi again, in your initial post you have Charles arriving from the Shrewsbury area, on all the census returns I can locate him he was born in Newport, Shropshire here therefore is a possible 1841 for him:-

Yes Dorothy was Charles mother nee Penson married in 1822.
