A year on and I thought I'd widen the request do any of you know of or are descended from William C Slingsby and Elizabeth Slingsby (nee O'Rourke) who married East Ashford Kent ( AMJ 1914 E Ashford 2a 2043) ?

hello,
I seem to be from a different set of ashford slingsbys again - my grandfather (Alfred Ernest) lived in Willesborough.
Don't know if there is any connection

Just joined and noticed hazel bevis is a contributor to this thread. I have only just found a connection to the Bevis' from Kent. My connection is Cecilia Pettit who married John Bevis in Sussex which has led me to their daughter Mary Elizabeth who married Josiah  Bowering (Bowring) and lived in Oldham.
Cecilia was the sister of Alfred Pettit/Pettett, my husbands gggrandfather, a transported convict to Van Diemans Land (Tasmania) in 1840
Any connection to Cecilia and John Bevis?
