Hi

I see that a Mary Scott Baillie of Nithside Terrace died in 1947 (single, informant was her brother Robert),  which means that she might not be listed in the published MI booklets. You would need to get in touch with Dumfries and Galloway Council  to find out where the lair (burial plot) was:

I have contacted the Dumfris and Galloway council who suggested that I contact the Ewart Library in Dumfries but unfortunately I don't have enough information for them to do a search, so it's back to the drawing board.
As for as I can see from the information available to me Mary lived with her 2 brothers and some children in Nithside terrace. If anyone can pass on any information of them or surviving family members in the area I would be grateful

I have visited cemeteries in Kirkconnel, Sanqhar and Thornhill and have not found a grave. Would anyone have a photograph on Nithsdale Terrace, old map or information as to when the houses were demolished.

After much searching I have found that Mary Scott Baillie, her daughter Maggie and brothers James and Robert are buried in St Conal's cemetery, Kirkconnel in lair No 93 which unfortunately has not got a headstone. Nevertheless I have visited the graveyard on a visit from Yorkshire
