John Irving and Sarah Ritson - marriage 1783 at Dean, Cumberland

I am looking for information on John Irving and Sarah Ritson who married at Dean, Cumberland on 3 July 1783.  They are my 4x great grandparents.  John I believe was a gardener, and they later moved to Dumfries-shire, Scotland.

Without more detail it is impossible to be certain but in 1841 there is a John Irving age 80 a gardener,  living at what looks like Rickeyate, Carlisle, St Mary. With him is James Irving 40, maybe his son, Isabella Irving 30 & William Irving 1, maybe James wife & son. All were noted as born Scotland.

I think this ties in with family search baptism records in Dumfrieshire.
