 Have family  letters  with the address of 

 "The  Post  Office""    Gaol Street    ELY.

I have been  trying to  locate this street name in Ely .   The letters were sent to this address in the year  1928

any help in finding it would be appreciated

Hi 2mm, I think you will find The Old Gaol is on the corner of Market Street and Lynn Road, and now houses the Local History Museum, I am certain if you contact them they can assist with the whereabouts of the Post Office in Gaol Street?

1885 - 1888  1:2,500 mapping on old-maps.co.uk.  The western end of Market Street between Newnham Lane and Lynn Road was named Gaol Street.
