My GG grandfather was William Wilson Dyer, born 1806 Edinburgh, looking for any family that might be related, I know his brother James worked at the kirk on Glebe street in Dalkieth. I traced William Wilson back to his gg grandfather William born 1770 in Edinburgh & his father  Peter who was born & died in Ireland. Thank you. I live in Montana USA . & originally from New York State .

I used the Rootschat search facility to look for the surname DYER on the Midlothian list, which would be the  correct one for Edinburgh rather than the Berwickshire list, but, sadly, it doesn't look as if anyone currently on Rootschat is researching this surname in Midlothian.
