James Black Malcolm

James Black Malcolm is reported to have died in May 1924 in Christchurch NZ. Can anyone possibly help me by getting his date of death and find/advise where I might find any obituary for him?

He is believed to have been born c 1855 in either Glasgow or Belfast. Parents Duncan Malcolm & Christina Black.

A well-known resident, Mr James Black Malcolm,  died at his residence, Mount Eden on Monday.  He was the eldest son of Mr Duncan Malcolm, and was
born in Belfast, 69 years ago.  He was educated at Manchester,  and commenced his business career in Glasgow and Belfast  going to South Africa and
America.  He arrived in Auckland from Belfast in the ship Lady Jocelyn in 1878 joined the Katikati settlers in farming,  returned to Auckland in 1883 and began a  accountancy career   ------------ more  ----

It appears he may have died in Auckland, so could possibly be buried there too.
