Flushing was the place where Bridget (Anges) Holmes and Malachi Brennan lived.  So this ref is correct https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:X3XH-168

What other information do you have re the Brennans? Do you have them in later censuses?

Is this her https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M5H5-S25

Her emigration seems to be around 1890 according to censuses.
Here she is with a Holmes nephew

Thanks for that info, no I know nothing of the Brennan family, but I have noted that a Malachi Brennan was a private in the Military (Union) New York Infantry  ??? I cannot find his or Anges (Delia's) death either.  :-\

This might be her in 1940 - https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KQP3-FDQ

If so, I found a reference to her daughter getting married in 1945 at www.fultonhistory.com.  This was the husband - https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:JKL7-QTT - but I don't see anything further about the daughter.

Also on www.fultonhistory.com is an obituary for John A. Brennan, who died Dec. 1952 at age 87.  He was described as a pioneer of Flushing and a son of the late Malachy Brennan.  It says Malachy owned hundreds of acres of farmland near what was now the Flushing business center.  John was predeceased by his brother Michael.  John was a bachelor and survived by a nephew John M. Brennan, a veteran sports columnist for the Long Island Star-Journal and living in Manhasset, and a niece who matches the name of Agnes' married daughter.

Maybe Michael was the one that Bridget/Agnes married, and Malachy was her father-in-law?

This appears to be an obituary for John M. Brennan's widow Elizabeth:  http://www.nytimes.com/1999/07/18/classified/paid-notice-deaths-brennan-elizabeth.html

This seems to be a possible for Michael, son of Malachi, in 1900 - https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/MSLJ-3KC  His age is a few years' off from the 1910 census with Agnes mentioned above, but it still seems to be a possible match.

The death index at www.italiangen.org has a death of a Michael Brennan in Queens on 24 Nov. 1906 at age 63.  Maybe him?

There is an obituary for Malachi here - http://bklyn.newspapers.com/image/53801535/?terms="malachi+brennen"

I think this may be Agnes' daughter Agnes Warkentin:  https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:JKL7-ZJH

On www.fultonhistory, in the Daily Star of Long Island City/Brooklyn from Aug. 1930, it said that Mrs. Agnes Brennan and daughter Agnes of North 167th Street were leaving an automobile trip to Squantum, Massachusetts where they will spend three weeks at the summer home of Mrs. Brennan's uncle Daniel Holmes of Boston.

I found an obituary for Agnes E. Brennan on www.fultonhistory.com in Long Island Star-Journal from 12 Sep. 1957.  It said she died at her home on 11 Sept.  Mass was being said for her at St. Andrew of Avellino Church, and she was to be buried at Mt. St. Mary's cemetery in Flushing.  It says she was a native of Co. Mayo, came to the US as a young girl, and was predeceased by her husband Michael in 1916.  It mentions that his family operated a large farm and the first dairy in Flushing.  She was survived by son John M. Brennan, golf editor of the Star-Journal, and daughter Mrs. Alexander Warkentin who lived with Agnes in Flushing.
