Hi, Does anyone have any information of a Sir Ellis Thomas Davies. Born In 1865 in Llandyrnog, Nr Denbigh ?.I would be most grateful for any information.

Hi, thank you for your reply. Ellis Thomas Davies is in my family tree and whilst browsing old copies of the Denbighshire Free Press I cam across the obituary of his father Charles. In the obituary it notes his son as Sir Ellis Thomas Davies. I would like to know more about the title and any more information that may be available. I have googled his name but without anything coming up. Any help would be most appreciated.

Hi again, if he was the one who married a Catherine Davies Dec qtr 1899 Ruthin 11b 537 then in 1901 he is aged 36 occ General Labourer? Census Ref RG13/5233/43/12

Keyboard 86, Yes this is the family I refer to. I will have to get the marriage certificate as Catherine has the same birth date and location as a cousin of Ellis, also named Catherine. Would this have been possible ?.Could he have married his cousin ?

I have about four or five instances of cousins marrying in my Tree so don't dismiss it out of hand.
