You have not said how you know that Alfredo and Georgina are definitely dead.

The other people are probably alive, possibly remarried, and, remotely, born in Scotland, or abroad, or second marriage.

Have you considered asking at another site for help?
e.g.  http://www.GenesReunited.co.uk/boards/board/living_relatives

Hi Christiano

Your topic has been edited as we have a 'no living people' policy here at Rootschat.

With regards to Alfredo & Georgina, I'll be at the British Library on Tuesday and can check the death index for them then.

If there are no entries then it could be safe to assume the couple you seek are still alive and possibly in nursing homes which is why they don't show up on the electoral registers.

Hi guys.

Sorry for slow reply.

I have been told by many relatives they have both passed away. I also managed to get a picture of Alfredo in his older years which is great.

Dawn that is so nice of you thank you! xxx

Hi

I checked the death index and there's an entry for Alfredo

Deaths 2010

Alfredo Reilly dob 18JE1926, reg district Stafford 7381F, reg 1F022, entry 177, reg 11/2010

If you bought a copy of the certificate from the GRO it would give the informant's name and address which might be useful.

I checked the address they had been at and it was sold in 2013, the database I used showed they had been there after 1989 to 2011

http://www.rootschat.com/links/01edm/

I checked 2010, 2011, 2012 for Georgina but ran out of time as I had another appointment but there was no entry for her in those dates.

I'll be back at the archives in the New Year and can check 2013 and 2014 for her then.

Dawn that is fantastic help, i made some connections today and can confirm they did live in that park home.

He did die so would have been him in 2010, how, we do not know? Nor the exact date, unless you do?
Also could you please tell me the month of his DOB as i don't understand what you put.

No one knows about Georgina, apparently after he died she went to a home.

Your help is amazing

His date of birth is 18 June 1926

The death cert will give you and exact date, place and cause of death.

I would like to think that at his age it was just old age, or an illness associated with that.

The probate calendars show the exact date of death, I checked and there was no entry for him or Georgina

https://www.gov.uk/search-will-probate

Although elderly people are still eligible to vote, when they go into homes they sometimes fall off the electoral registers as the homes find it very difficult to get them to voting stations or they don't register for postal voting. Of course some elderly people don't want to vote or are incapable because of dementia ands other illnesses.

After 2002 people had the right to opt out of the edited versions which are the ones that appear online, so she may well still be in there somewhere but not online. You'll need to know where she's living though to check the full address and register at the archives.

Hi Christiano,

My brother in law is the son of Ellen Hodgson, sibling of Georgina. Sadly Ellen passed away this last week-end. I have messaged you on fb with some information, it should be in your "other" messages folder.
