I think your John Butterton/Edwards died 9 Dec 1865 - aged 58.  It says Coroner's warrant so there should be a newspaper report.

She's there in 1871 but nothing so far afterwards and no obvious deaths/burials. The Wirral death was a different woman.

I've found the background story, but not the baptism,by a lengthy newspaper article from the Wrexham Advertiser in 1857,relating to an alleged assault on a Mary Morris by John Butterton,in a dispute over a cottage. In the article Mary Morris, abandoned by her husband Moses, refers to her mother in law,who died aged 80 in the previous November, and "....who had an illegitimate son,John Butterton, prior to her marriage..."(no explanation of why he is called Butterton. He claimed the property was left to him in a will)

This is the family at HO107/2503/171/38 in 1851

The death of Ann Morris gives her as 1776-1856

and her possible marriage?
Edward Morris to Ann Edwards,Ruabon,29 Mar 1817

Regards
Roger
