wesley/westley and dawson tiffield

Hi was wondering if anyone has info on Mary Dawson who married john Westley aka Wesley in tiffield about 1671. I believe her parents were Matthew and Joan of tiffield. If anyone can help me go further back or even any idea where I can look up tiffield records. I live in new Zealand so can only look online

Ummm ...

The Northamptonshire Marriages Index actually shows two marriages ...

John Westley = Mary Dauson botp 1664 Oct 31 Tiffield CofE

John Westly = Mary Reine 1671 Apr 24 Tiffield CofE

... but without further info (the bpts index goes back to 1650, the burials index to 1700) we can't say whether these are the same John Westl(e)y.

Similarly, there are two Dawson marriages that might become relevant ...

John Dawson = Alice Green 1633 Sep 30 Tiffield CofE

Mathias Dawson = Ann Love 1636 Oct 6 Tiffield CofE

... can't spot the Reine name though.


The PRs going back to 1559 will be at the Record Office.
